An Oxford Holiday by Kara Jorgensen is an endearing companion story for the Ingenious Mechanical Devices series, featuring the couple from The Winter Garden (The Ingenious Mechanical Devices Book 2) (which I loved, and you should read - before this). When this story starts, Immanuel has been back at Oxford for a couple of months, and now will finally be able to see Adam again (yay!). This short read is utterly adorable, alternating between offering little insights about each of the guys' feelings for the other. It's a definite feel-good read, but also offers up little clues for what's to come in later books, which I thought was fun. There are also some lovely scenery descriptions and glimpses into Victorian university life (and its associated politics, which were hinted at in a vivid and entertaining way). But most of all, An Oxford Holiday is a recommended read for anyone who couldn't get enough of Adam and Immanuel in the last book; AdIm-shippers, rejoice!Product details

A quick glimpse of Immanuel's life at Oxford when Adam comes to visit. Also, an American lady lawyer makes an appearance foreshadowing things to come.
Such a teaser! I want to read more about Adam and Immanuel, can't wait for book 4 to see where their story goes next.
A fitting companion to the novels in the series. Highly recommended for those who adore Adam and Immanuel's relationship.

Beautiful lines like the one above take you back to Victorian Britain and two very detailed characters in a narrow minded world. An exceptional piece to read while awaiting the third Ingenious Mechanical Devices book. Museums, foreshadowing and great dialogue!
This is a a quick cute glimpse into Adam and Emmanuel's relationship after the events of The Winter Garden! I would highly recommend reading The Winter Garden (The Ingenious Mechanical Devices Book 2). But this really helped satisfy my craving for more of this couple! But not for long. I can see some of the threads that will lead into the next book in the Genius Mechanical Devices series and I eagerly await the next book.
